No One Walks Alone
Welcome to the Tumour Foundation of BC.
We’re a registered charitable organization that has been supporting individuals and families affected by NF since 1984.
We work to improve the lives of people living with NF through support, education, advocacy, and community connection.
What is NF?
NF is short for Neurofibromatosis – a group of genetic conditions that cause tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. These tumours can appear anywhere and affect people in very different ways.Experiences vary widely, from hearing or vision loss and chronic pain to learning challenges, mobility issues, and visible tumours.
Anyone can be born with NF. It affects people of all races, genders, and ethnicities.

NF Stories
Everyone’s story is unique, but these are all stories of people living their best life despite an NF diagnosis. Connect with them on their NF journey.

Take action today
We need your help to make things better for every individual, family, or friend dealing with NF.

Tumours ≠ Cancer
When people hear the word tumour, they think cancer – but that isn’t always the case.
Tumours don’t have to be cancer to change a life.
